Mounting Media for Tillandsias, Orchids & Other Epiphytes

 

GRAPEWOOD
The wood of the old grapevines have had the outer bark removed to show the warm red-brown color that contrasts so well with tillandsias and orchids. It is an excellent medium on which to mount epiphytes (plants that do not require soil). Smaller pieces of grapewood can be used also as interesting accents in dish gardens. The pieces are sized from 3" to 24" long and show the artistic character of the wood with twists, turns and curls. If you want even larger or more branched arrangements the grapewood can be easily screwed together since it is very strong and rigid. Only your imagination limits what you can create.  Large ornamental grapewood tree specimens available periodically, please call for more information.
